Today has been a day dedicated to some serious DIY. My mother apparently is the Goddess of all DIY knowledge, and I am privileged that she is able to pass it on to me. Honestly, learn as much DIY as you can from your parents, or anyone that has any insight on the subject. I have saved over £400 on a decorator, and so far I couldn't tell you a single difference except the fact that I am feeling far less poverty stricken. You may end up looking a little messy, but it's so worth it. New Year's Resolution potential? Involve yourself in some serious redefining and redecoration? And learn some valuable knowledge in the process.

In my opinion everyone needs one. Get yourself a 2013 scrap book and fill it with literally anything you want, anything that inspires. Trust me, looking back on them is one of the most inspiring and interesting things to do. It doesn't have to be complete, or tidy, just understandably by you. And you never know it might be more rewarding than you think. Plus you can snap up a tidy bargain this time of the year, mine was £4.25 reduced from £15 at Paperchase.
