Beauty Costs How Much?!

Beauty Costs How Much?

So I was reading through some of the articles on the Glamour website, when I came across one that was determining the cost of our daily beauty regimes. Now these women were spending at least a £100 (absolute minimum) on products that they would determine needed for everyday. And, there I was thinking, well they can spend this cash, they earn a lot more than me (broke student and all that malarky) and then I started counting it up in my head, holy cripes I am spending similar amounts of money on beauty products as Fashion Editors at Glamour, who DO I think I am? Or is it just that is the bare minimum we can spend if we want the best, and well who doesn't. So here's a run through of the beauty products I use everyday, and their costs, just to reassure anyone here who feels as bad as I do that you're not alone, you are definitely, not alone.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish (and two muslin cloths) - £14.25
Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Facial Toner - £2.99
Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser - £4.27
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light - £25
Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation - £20.50
Collection 2000 Long Lasting Concealer - £4.19
Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Powder Medium - £21
Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Powder Medium Plus - £21 (Contouring Purposes)

Mac Powder Blush - £17.50
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick - £35
Mac Haute & Naughty Too Black Lash Mascara - £18
Mac Eye Shadow - £10
Mac Lipstick - £14
Total: £189.70

That is the absolute bare minimum I spend on the products that I have worked out, over the years, are the best for my overly sensitive skin. I have further determined that I spend roughly £800 a year on my beauty regime. I am feeling slightly ill guys, slightly ill. However I am a firm believer in time: money ratio, and the amount of time I use this stuff is definitely well worth the spend! (Feeling slightly less ill).

Amy x
