Sushi Samba

So, one of the reasons I haven't posted anything for a while (okay, a long while) is that, well, I haven't actually done things of that much interest recently! I mean being a student is great fun, and we do have amazing times, but nothing that would really relate to anyone not living in the York bubble! But, this week times changed! I went back down south to catch up with friends and family, and Charlotte and I ducked into Sushi Samba for a late lunch on Friday. I'd never been before, and well, I am happy to report that it was bloody brilliant!

I got a lot of stick for being on the phone whilst dining, but I have to say that I was waiting for a phone call regarding a potential job, so please excuse me, not to mention my mum kept texting me asking for details, and who ignores their mum?

It was a particularly windy day, and being 38 floors up does not help a hair situation, however the view was incredible, so we decided to not let Mother Nature ruin our good day  (to be fair to her, she did make it stop raining and bring the sun out).

These Yellowtail taquitos were my absolute favourite!

Luckily, Charlotte and I managed to come to a nice agreement on who should get which topping on the Samba London rolls; crab meat on the inside and tuna steak on the top was my favourite, even if I did make a mess with the crispy carrots!
