Frankie Goes to York

Northern England is somewhat like Game of Thrones, whereby Winter seems to always be coming. However, the Sun seems to have finally arrived, and looks like it's here to stay (at least for a week...I hope). York in the Summer is bloody beautiful, so when Frankie came back up to York to visit her Alma Mater and wonderful friends still left behind, we headed into the city centre for some shopping and general soaking up of sunshine. We started off in Jo Malone to pick out some summer fragrances to purchase!

Stonegate is such a beautiful street, with some of the best shops, and not to mention, like the Shambles, it's got its own distinct 'Diagon Alley' kind of vibe. Warning: Once on Stonegate, be prepared to spend the whole of your student loan.

The famous Betty's! (White Walker alert, I really need to get out in the sun more!)

We literally saw this man swallow a balloon whole!
So, there's great shopping, great places to eat and somewhat entertaining men on the street, but the best part is the museum gardens!

So, basically York is brilliant in the Summer and you should visit if you can! But by and large, it's the wonderful people that make it one of my favourite places ever.
