Snakey New Shoes!

So, I did a bit more shopping, and in the words of the Mask..."Somebody STOP ME." But really don't, i'm enjoying it far too much. And I stumbled across two of my new favourite Autumn pieces. First of all this smashing picnic blanket cape that's going down quite a treat; so comfy and adds a bit of chic to a bog standard black jeans and black top situation when feeling lazy. So that's always a winner. Then secondly, these fabulous faux python pointy sandal/shoe (enough adjectives there?)! My favourite blogger Miss Danielle Bernstein has got me hooked on pointy shoes. ASOS has been my friend. Also snapped up was this black shell top, with a little mesh insert at the bottom (appropriate for work?), but that's just nowhere near as fun as the other two things!

Having an EJ Johnson moment here, love this cape so much!

Autumn's Rude Entry

So, Autumn is coming. And if you live in the North, it has already made a rudely early arrival. However, there is a silver lining: New Autumn Wardrobe! And i've already started causing my bank account some serious damage. Thanks to good old eBay, and some rigorous saving, I've had a little spending spree, that I thought I'd share (a bit of) with you.

A Trip to the Suffolk Coast

Oh, I do like to be beside the Seaside!

So, my family has a little getaway on the Suffolk coast, and it's just one of my favourite places ever! We've been going there since I was a teeny tiny child, and it just doesn't really get old. England, is not famous for it's glorious weather, and even when the heavens open, the weather chills and the winds seem to be at war, it's always a pleasure. There are four particular places that I love, Sizewell, Thorpeness, Aldeburgh and Southwold! They're such beautiful places, and well worth a visit (try not to go in peak Summer, it can get rather busy).

Aldeburgh Sea Front

Sizewell Beach

My sister and her horse, there are so many stables around, so if you fancy getting back in the saddle, I recommend: Valley Farm

There's the cutest Silver jewellery shop in Aldeburgh, that do the most amazing rings and other pieces! Definitely spend way too much money there!

The Brudenell Hotel

For lunch or dinner (or even a place to stay), head to Brudenells. The view is spectacular, and the fresh fish dishes will leave your mouthwatering!

So, basically what I am trying to say, is that you don't HAVE to leave England for a nice Summer (or even Winter) break. The Suffolk coast is beautiful, and there are so many little towns and villages to go visit, including Wickham Market, home to one of Britain's greatest butchers: Revetts

Evil Eye Lounge, York

So, I've been in York almost four years now and I am yet to write about  the ever so cool, Evil Eye. Last night us leftover Masters lot decided to head out into town for some nosh to say farewell to one of beloved cronies. He is, some would say, rather infatuated with Evil Eye, so it was  no brainer. Plus, it was totally acceptable to don my new birthday skirt!

(Skirt: Topshop, here | Shoes: Topshop, here | Top: Zara, very old!)

Evil Eye is pretty famous for it's cocktails, especially it's Shed 7 (seven different shots of rum, some absinthe and a pretty strong warning from the barman). I however, tucked into a Mai Tai!

On the menu is an abundance of Thai/Malaysian dishes, so many options! The food was good, but the atmosphere and the cocktails was way better. Not to mention, the rumour that's been going around since the dawn of man, that it's been frequented by Mr Johnny Depp, no official word has been given, but still, you can imagine Mr Depp liking it there! There's always a pretty large queue on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you can get there another day, do try!
