Happy Friday Everyone - 80s Throwback!

So, my boss seems to like listening to good old eighties music on the radio at work, and I cannot say I'm ever going to be one to complain! So, I thought I'd share my favourites, to see if it put you in the cracking mood I was in after hearing them!

Wilson Phillips - Hold On

There cannot be a soul on this planet who doesn't crack out their best power ballad face when this comes on, and thank you Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph for your beautiful version of this in Bridesmaids!

Simple Minds - Don't You (Forget About Me)

This song has a magnificent ability to make me want to get up and dance, but simultaneously cry (powerful stuff right there); might have something to do with the fact that it is the soundtrack to the wondrousness that is The Breakfast Club. Oh Judd Nelson <3 nbsp="" p="">

Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill

He's going to kill me for telling you all this, but I'm pretty soon this is the first album my dad bought, but I say EMBRACE that fact father.

and finally...

J. Geils Band - Centerfold

This song just makes me want to go out to a good old English pub and dance around (not that people ever do that in a pub, but still!). What a feel good Friday feeling song!

Happy Friday everyone!

Winter Music Exploration #2

So, continues my delve into the world of music and here's what I have found lately! As always, I might be a bit late to the party with regards to some songs, but you're just going to have to forgive me and suggest something better!

#1 Jamie T - Zombie

Always loved this man, and sadly have missed out on tickets to see him soon in London. Saw him live once before and it was so good, so fun and just such a good sound! Not as gritty as the usual Jamie T stuff, but still good nonetheless.

Laura Doggett - Moonshine

This song came on the radio whilst I was driving home from work (Thank you Radio 1 and Huw Stephens) and a huge smile appeared on my face, as well as a desperate wish to somehow know all the words so I could sing along! She's got that effortlessly powerful voice that gives me goosebumps!

Beach House - Myth

So with this one I am definitely late to the party (it came out in 2012). But the peeps at work introduced me to them and I have to say I'm rather taken with this lovely duo. So, if you haven't heard then I hope you enjoy! If you have well, good for you, and enjoy some more!
